Collection: Gary Lynn Roberts

Gary Lynn Roberts

Gary Lynn Roberts is a storyteller at heart, inviting viewers into the narratives he creates on canvas. His lifelong love of horses, rodeo, and the striking landscape in which he lives has shaped a style that blends realism with impressionism. A third-generation artist, Roberts carries forward the tradition of working in oil painting, with his greatest artistic influence being his father, the noted Western painter Joe Rader Roberts.

Roberts began receiving recognition early in his career, winning his first awards at the age of fourteen at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Since then, his work has earned numerous accolades, including multiple Best of Show and People’s Choice awards. He achieved the rare distinction of receiving both the Honorary Chairman Award and the Best of Show Award for the same painting at The Russell, held at the C. M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana. Roberts is also a member of the C. M. Russell Skull Society of Artists.

His paintings have appeared on the covers of several national magazines and are represented in prestigious private and public collections. Roberts currently resides in Hamilton, Montana, with his wife, Nancy, and their two children, Mary and Anna.
