Collection: Krystii Melaine

Krystii Melaine
Declaring at age four that she would be an artist, Australian-born Krystii Melaine has consistently pursued her creative calling. After studying graphic design at university, she became a successful wedding gown designer before returning to her lifelong passion for painting.
Krystii studied traditional tonal realism and was inspired by the wildlife and people of the American West. She began painting these subjects in Australia and moved to the United States in 2010. Working in oils with a contemporary realism style, she portrays the people and animals of the West with a modern eye, creating uniquely beautiful images.
Her work has been featured in museum exhibitions including Night of Artists, Quest for the West, Western Visions, and The Buffalo Bill Art Show. In 2024, her retrospective exhibition was presented at the Eiteljorg Museum.
Krystii is represented by Sanders Galleries (Tucson), The Broadmoor Galleries (Colorado Springs), Going To The Sun Gallery (Whitefish), Illume Gallery West (Philipsburg), Mountain Trails Galleries (Jackson, Park City, Bozeman), Santa Fe Trails Gallery (Santa Fe), Big Horn Galleries (Cody), and online at Arise Fine Art, Diamond Creek, and Trailside Galleries. She is a Master Signature Member of American Women Artists and a member of the Portrait Society of America.
