Collection: Bruce Lawes

Bruce K. Lawes

Bruce K. Lawes is an internationally collected artist renowned for his dedication to animal art and wildlife conservation. He is a signature member of Artists for Conservation (AFC), the Society of Animal Artists (SAA), and the Oil Painters of America (OPA). Born in 1962 in Toronto, Canada, he has built a distinguished career rooted in both technical mastery and a deep respect for the natural world.

Lawes studied part-time at the Ontario College of Art and Design, though he credits much of his artistic development to direct, personal encounters with influential contemporary masters. His work has been exhibited in numerous prominent museums, including the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis; the Houston Museum of Natural Science; the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell, New Jersey; the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa; Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson; the George A. Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, Missouri; and the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming.

Lawes’ paintings have also appeared in elite venues such as the Coeur d’Alene Art Auction and the Jackson Hole Art Auction, further solidifying his reputation among collectors and institutions worldwide.
