Collection: Joe Kronenberg

Joe Kronenberg
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Joe Kronenberg was immersed in a regional history shaped by Native Americans, pioneers, mountain men, and trappers—stories that profoundly influenced the subject matter he paints today. Each year he travels to historic sites, national parks, and mountain regions to study wildlife and landscape firsthand, gathering reference material that informs the accuracy and emotional tone of his work.
Kronenberg received the C. M. Russell Museum Auction’s Ralph “Tuffy” Berg Award in 2009, recognizing him as the most promising emerging artist of the year. He was inducted into the Russell Skull Society of Artists in 2017. His paintings were named finalists in the prestigious Art Renewal Center International Salon in 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2016. He also received Best of Show honors at the 2015 Western Masters Auction in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Kronenberg was featured in Best of American Oil Painters 2011 and has appeared in numerous publications, including Fine Art Connoisseur, Western Art Collector, Art of the West, Southwest Art, American Art Collector, Northwest Sportsman, and California Sportsman. His work is held in private, corporate, and public collections throughout North America. He is represented by Coeur d’Alene Galleries; Going to the Sun Gallery in Whitefish, Montana; and Beartooth Gallery Fine Art in Red Lodge, Montana.
